Symbiotic Yoga

I specialise in bespoke one to one and occasionally one to two sessions.

 

I've studied and practiced yoga since 1991 and held classes since 2014. I've called it symbiotic yoga because of the synchronisation of warming up the body and quietening the mind on the way to ‘Savasana'.

 

I weave different yoga styles together with breath-work, gentle seated, standing or lying postures and fluid transitions to improve mobility, suppleness, strength, alignment and posture.

 

During bespoke yoga sessions I am able to properly assess, adjust and support you onto where you want to be.

One to one yoga sessions are not more intense but allow you to get much more out of it than group sessions.

 

Explorative Movement 

Whilst on the subject of mind and movement, I also offer explorative sessions where I'll lead you into a nourishing practice warming up limbs and mobilising joints and tissues.

 

I teach you techniques to assist with stretching and strengthening your body, releasing old neuromuscular pathways, so new and expanded ways of moving can flow.

 

This will improve your body-mind connection, circulatory lymphatic systems, breathing, posture, strength, self
esteem, sense of worth, creativity and purpose.

 

Come and explore and take the techniques home with you.
 

Sessions are tailored to your specific needs devised with a clear foundation and space to improvise, be free, explore and play if you wish.

 

I have over 30 years of dance & movement experience ranging from safe aerobic routines to detailed dance techniques allowing for a rich vocabulary of expression.

 

I can hold the space with or without the use of music which can either allow you to deepen your practice and movement repertoire or work more superficially.
